August Precipitation Averages for South American Cities
The tables below give August averages for rainfall at major cities throughout South America. Each place has a total for how much precipitation it usually gets this month and most have data on the number of days with wet weather.
Included in the group are South America's national capitals plus cities with a metropolitan population of over one million people.
The cities are listed alphabetically and you can jump ahead to the section for Asunción to Cochabamba or Córdoba to Montevideo or Natal to Vitíria.
The amounts of rain are averages of historical climate measurements made over a long period, in most cases 30 years.
